Effects of GLUBRAN-2 on the Burst Pressure of Jejunal Loops Thermofused With Vessel Sealing Devices

•RFVS instruments can be employed to obtain intestinal biopsies and seal the intestinal loop.•Not all RFVS employed in this study achieved the same ability to perform closure of the defect in the intestinal loop.•RFVS-3 instruments resulted in significantly lower BP values when compared with the hand sewing technique, which is considered the gold standard technique.•When a thin layer of G2 was sprayed on the sealed defect, all groups showed similar results in comparison with the suture group.
