An energy management strategy based on dynamic programming to improve working conditions of fuel cells

Fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) have become an important power configuration for new energy vehicles due to their multivariant power components and the ability to clean emissions. Efficient energy management strategy is the basis of realizing clean emission and efficient energy utilization of fuel cell vehicles. The majority of current dynamic planning algorithms for energy management of fuel cell electric vehicles ignore the optimization of fuel cell working conditions, which makes it difficult to achieve the desired results in practical application. In this paper, an efficient dynamic programming method is proposed to settle the best power distribution scheme between fuel cell and lithium-ion battery, and to optimize the working conditions of fuel cell. Simulation results show that compared with the basic dynamic programming, the working conditions of the fuel cell are improved.
