ORCID ID—a Must for All the Academic Surgeon

Every academic surgeon should have an ORCID ID which removes all types of ambiguity in case of any change in the name or surname during the career of the author. ORCID ID helps the journal publisher in finding the academic experience of the author and helps in recognizing the contribution of the author in his academic arena. In India, ORCID ID does help in crediting the original author with his publication irrespective of his change in address or spelling of the name due to marital or any other reasons.
