Viscoelastic-viscoplastic modeling of epoxy based on transient network theory

摘要
•The monotonic and cyclic tensile tests under different temperatures and strain rates and the stress relaxation tests under the different initial stresses of the epoxy are performed to model the nonlinear behavior of the glassy polymer below the glass transition temperature.•The previously established transient network (TN) model for the glassy polymer is extended and improved to represent the temperature- and strain rate-dependent mechanical behaviors under monotonic and cyclic tensile tests and stress relaxation test.•The obtained results demonstrated that the proposed model could represent the nonlinear deformation behaviors of glassy polymer under wide ranges of temperature and strain rate.
