Requirement-driven evolution and strategy-enabled service design for new customized quick-response product order fulfillment process

•A novel design method based on the Kano model and TRIZ evolution trends is proposed.•Customized order fulfillment requirements in terms of laptop production are investigated and analysed.•Three design strategies namely, precise diffraction, regenerative chain, and flexible accommodation strategies are generated by the Kano-TRIZ design model.•These strategies are applied to the design of “Customized product order fulfillment System.”
