•Hydrological data contributed more than relief for prediction of sand, clay, and OM.•Confluence angle and channel sinuosity have distinct patterns over different soil types.•Hydrology, relief, and SySI data resulted in R2 of 0.71 for clay prediction.•Drainage morphometry changes across the landscape according to the soil class.
