摘要

•A relationship between KLF6 rs3750861 genetic variant and plasma ceramide levels is unknown.•In T2DM patients, C/T or T/T genotypes of rs3750861 were associated with higher plasma levels of specific ceramides.•These findings remained significant after adjustment for confounders, including use of lipid-lowering agents.
