On Gender Segregation in Discipline in Higher Education

The influence of Feminism on the higher education make gender segregation in discipline can be given two interpretations. One interpretation based on biological essential-ism. It explains the gender segregation in discipline in higher education based on physiological difference and phychological difference between men and women; the other is feminist interpretation. It thinks that the gender segregation of discipline is constructed by the ideology, power system and interest foundation. Feminism provides a new train of thought and tactics for solving this problem.
