Study on the value of early screening amblyopia using Suresight hand-held autorefractor in testing for refraction of children under 3 years

[Objective] To analyse the outcome of Suresight hand-held autorefractor in testing for refraction of under 3 years and find a way to screening the high-risk children of amblyopia. [Method] 1 325 children under 3 years were examined by Suresight hand-held autorefractor. [Results] Get the frequencies, average,standard deviation and reference ranges of seven groups respectively. [Conclusions] This study suggests that the child with spherical len deviate from P25～P75(D) and cylindrical len exceed P75(D) should be seen as high-risk of amblyopia., the child with spherical len deviate from P5～P95(D)and cylindrical len exceed P75(D)should be seen as the highest-risk of amblyopia, so that meet the requirements of early screening amblyopia.
