摘要
Aim:To observe the levels of total homocysteine(tHcy) and high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP),the relationship with the severity of acute cerebral ischemic(CI).Methods:The levels of tHcy and hs-CRP of 110 CI patients,37 patients of other neurological diseases(OND) and 105 healthy volunteers were examined by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) and turbidimetry respectively. Results:Levels of tHcy in CI are not different with OND group while being higher than NC group;Levels of hs-CRP in CI are significant higher than NC and OND group.CI patients were divided into three groups(less than score five, between five and fifteen and more than fifteen)according to NIHSS score. The average level of tHcy in CI was (22.24±16.59)μmol·L~(-1) and no statistical significance presents among those three groups(P0.05);The average level of hs-CRP was 3.29±2.51 mg·L~(-1) and the significant difference existed among those three groups(P0.01);correlation between tHcy and hs-CRP was not found(P0.05).Conclusion:Though high serum tHcy is not specific for CI,high levels of tHcy and hs-CRP are indicative for acute ischemic stroke while they have different pathogenesis in stroke;the level of hs-CRP is correlated with the severity of CI.
