Discriminated of Non-Infected Vaccinated Animals from Vaccinated Population by Non-Structural Proteins of Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus
Letters in Biotechnology(2008)
摘要
Foot-and-mouth disease(FMD) caused by FMD virus(FMDV) is a highly contagious disease among cloven hoofed animals. Vaccination is a main measure to prevent and cure FMD in most countries where this disease exists. But in order to control FMD,the first thing to do is differentiating virus infected and carrier animals from vaccinated population. Non-structural proteins(NSP) of FMD virus are considered to be indicators of FMD infection for discrimination of infected animals from vaccinated ones. NSP antibodies can also be induced by residual NSP contained in commercially available inactivated FMD vaccines, and established methods for direct detection of NSP contaminants in FMD vaccines are very limited.
