摘要
The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), introduced under the Kyoto Protocol, serves a twofold objective: The reduction of Greenhouse Gases and the promotion of sustainable development in emerging countries. This article addresses this critical issue by analysing a project currently seeking CDM status and assessing its impact on these dual aims, while simultaneously evaluating the successful implementation and feasibility of the venture. The paper applies Macro-environmental assessment tools and reveals the endeavour’s threats and opportunities. The author concludes by offering recommendations for further steps needed to achieve the project objectives.
