摘要
Objective To examine the relationship between serum free testosterone(FT) and inflammatory cytokines such as pregnancy-associated plasma protein A(PAPP-A),intracellular adhesion factor-1(ICAM-1) in old men with acute coronary syndrome(ACS).Methods Serum was collected from 88 men aged 62~78 years.Among the 88 men,46 were patients with ACS.Age,weight, blood lipids including total cholesterol(TC),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) and triglyceride(TG),whether a smoker, sugar levels, blood pressure,FT,PAPP-A,ICAM-1 were measured. The relationships between FT level and PAPP-A,ICAM-1 were examined using a stepwise linear regression technique among all the 88 men. Results There was no statistical difference in terms of age, blood pressure, whether a smoker, sugar levels,HDL-C between CHD patients and controls;whereas results of weight,TC,LDL-C,TG,PAPP-A,ICAM-1 of ACS patients were higher than those of controls;FT level was lower than that of controls. It was found that among all the objects,FT level was inversely correlated with PAPP-A and ICAM-1.Conclusions FT level was inversely correlated with inflammatory cytokines such as PAPP-A and ICAM-1.
