Exploration and Practice of the Course of Protocol Analysis and Testing

Network engineering is a new major set up by the ministry of education of China in 2001,so its curriculum system and teaching mode are in the process of exploration,and it is worth discussing how to set up the course reasonably.This paper suggests setting up the course of protocol analysis and testing in the major of networking engineering.The teaching content,experiment content,textbook and relationship with other courses are presented.A case study presents a teaching plan of this course and analyses the students' comment.The teaching result shows that students improve their understanding about network protocol,and the problem of the recognition rest on the surface of knowledge is solved.
