摘要
Objective To investigate the short-term postoperative outcome of cancer positive patients during colorectal cancer(CRC) screening in Haicang district of Xiamen city. Methods From Dec.2008 to Oct.2010,preliminary screening was carried out for the inhabitants from 44 to 74 years old in four countries of Haicang district combining questionaire and fecal occult blood test(FOBT).High risk people accepted complete colonoscopy.Cancer positive patients were followed-up up to two years postoperatively.One-year and two-year overall survival(OS) and disease free survival(DFS) were compared between the screening group and non-screening group(ie.the new CRC cases hospitalized during the counterpart period). Results There were 14 CRC and 201 polyps cases in screening group, the raw incidence of CRC in this district is 51.4/100 000.Two-year DFS in screening group was better than that in non-screening group(85.7% vs 57.1%,P0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in one-year and two-year OS,and one-year DSF between the two groups(100% vs 86.4%,92.6% vs 75.3%,92.6% vs 83.1%,P0.05).Conclusion CRC screening is beneficial to earlier detect and manage CRC and remove precancerous lesion, and has the advantages of improving disease free survival and prognosis.
