Mechanical Principle of Piezoelectric-Promoted Mechanical Antenna

With the development of communication technology, the application demand of motorized low frequency antenna and chip-based high frequency antenna is increasing. The piezoelectric crystal material, commonly used in antennas, can realize the conversion between mechanical deformation and potential difference. When the excitation frequency of the input electrical signal is consistent with the natural frequency of the structure vibration response, the piezoelectric will resonate, and thus, amplify the electrical signal, which will affect the antenna frequency that is same as the nature frequency of the piezoelectric. Hence, the antenna frequency can be controlled by the deformation mode in the polarization direction of the material electrode. The simulation results can be used for the design of low frequency antenna.
