Realization of Simple Band-Stop Filters for Wireless Power Transfer Applications

This paper presents the defected ground structure (DGS)-based band-stop filter (BSF) which is developed using RO4350B and has a small board area of 20 × 10 mm2. The performed analysis of the proposed DGS shape shows that the size of the DGS has a huge impact on the quality factor. The cascades of the defects and incorporation of external capacitors aid in achieving the dual-band BSF. Furthermore, the developed BSF demonstrates the ability of wide-band rejection from 6.45 GHz to 12.75 GHz.
