Rapid Evaluation Technology of Grid Planning Scheme for Power Systems with High Proportion Renewable Energy Based on Plant Commitment

With the progress of energy revolution, renewable energy accounts for an increasing proportion of power systems, which greatly affects the planning of power systems. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate grid planning scheme of power systems containing large-scale renewable energy. The timing operation simulation method based on SCUC can reflect the timing operation characteristics of the system. However, with the increase of system scale and calculation time scale, long-term SCUC will be solved difficulty. In order to realize the rapid evaluation of grid planning scheme, this paper proposes a method based on plant commitment, which treats a thermal plant as an integral component. It has quickly solving speed because it is a pure LP problem. Meanwhile, we develop the evaluation indicators framework with different time and space scales. Since the evaluation indicators are focused on the station level, the simplified method of plant commitment is reasonable. In case studies, numerical results based on the XJTU-ROTS2017 are analyzed, which verify the rationality of the proposed method.
