Detail Modeling research and experimental verification of wound pouch lithium-ion battery

With the high demand in the consumer electronics and electric vehicle markets, the production and application of pouch lithium-ion batteries have exploded. In order to reduce the expensive test costs and cycles of batteries in the product development stage, it is necessary to develop a model that can accurately characterize the performance of lithium-ion batteries. This paper takes winding pouch polymer lithium-ion battery as the research object, establishes a detailed winding layered structure lithium-ion battery finite element model, and compares the established lithium-ion battery through local ball head extrusion test. The verification simulation results show that the force-displacement curve predicted by the established simulation model is in good agreement, and at the same time, it can predict the moment when the battery internal short circuit occurs under the squeeze load, which verifies the validity of the model. The battery simulation model established in the thesis can be used to study the battery response under abuse conditions, and at the same time can be used for the development of new batteries, which has practical engineering significance.
