“Objectivity” and “neutrality” of science can lead to discrimination and the violation of people’s fundamental rights. To avoid this, it is necessary to respect some principles in the use of science as a basis for decisions of legal relevance, as it emerges in the cases of genetics forensics and artificial intelligence.
