摘要
Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is defined as collection of mobiles devices that use the wireless channel to ensure the connectivity between them. MANET has many constraints in its functions due to infrastructure-less and absence of a central admin. Optimized Link State Routing Protocol (OLSR) is table-driven MANET routing protocol dedicated to the large network density. However, it can affect in its performances by many factors, one of them is the congestion that can increase the energy consumption, lost packets, the End-to-End Delay (EED) and can minimize the throughput of the protocol. In this paper, we propose a new method which applied the concept of Normality Test that can be used in other domains like the statistic in order to detect the congestion in MANET and reduce power consumption which is considered as a step toward green communication. Our method achieves the goal of detection without any modification in the routing protocol or managing other additional control messages. The Shapiro–Wilk (W) is the method that is used to analyze the results of Throughput and End-to-End delay, which can be affected by the congestion. To test the effectiveness of our proposed method, we simulated different number of nodes in two scenarios by changing the area of simulation.
