摘要
An 8-year-old boy presented to Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center (Guangzhou, China) with a 2-month history of leukocoria (white pupil) in the right eye (figure). His visual acuity was reduced to counting fingers in the right eye and was 20/20 in the left eye. Posterior synechiae (iris adhesions to the lens), total cataract, and tractional retinal detachment were noted in the right eye by slit-lamp microscopy and ultrasound (B-mode). His parents recalled that the patient had a long-term habit of playing with their pet dog, but the dog had never been dewormed.
