1,2-Thiazines and Their Benzo Derivatives

This review surveys methods published in the literature between 2008 and 2019 concerning the chemistry of compounds with 6-membered rings containing adjacent nitrogen and sulfur atoms. These compounds, termed 1,2-thiazines, are popular targets. They possess numerous applications, which span topics from medicinal to materials chemistry and have also gained attention from the perspective of the development of new chemical methodologies. Specifically, methods for the assembly, derivatization and aspects concerning the application of particular compounds, or compound classes, are included.
