Theoretical methods, simulation and modeling in nano-optics

We present an overview of the analytical, semi-analytical, and numerical techniques employed in solving electromagnetic field equations in the nano-optics regime. Multiple multipole methods, volume integral methods that use the Green's function, such as the method of moments (MoM) and the coupled dipole moment (CDM), are briefly discussed. Among the numerical techniques, the finite element method (FE) and the finite-domain time-domain (FDTD) methods are mentioned.
