Decentralized Generation-Storage-Load Coordination Control for DC Microgrid

For an islanded DC microgrid, battery storage system is usually regarded as a main power source to regulate the DC bus voltage and manage the power. However, SOC out-of-limit and overpower should be avoided during operation. In this paper, a decentralized control method is proposed to maintain the stability of the DC microgrid which contains photovoltaic (PV), battery, and controllable load. The DC bus voltage is utilized to deliver the signal of battery. And then the PV system deals with the over-charging and overpower problems by sampling the DC bus voltage. Besides, the controllable load will also help deal with the over-discharging problem of battery storage system. Furthermore, the efficiency of proposed method has been verified by simulation tests.
