76‐3: Induction Heating Evaporator for the Fabrication of OLEDs

We have developed a fast‐response induction heated (IH) evaporator that is capable of fabricating highly efficient organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs). The IH evaporator requires only 15 sec to precisely increase the deposition rate from 0.1 to 0.2 nm/s. A phosphorescent OLED with an emissive layer fabricated using the IH evaporators exhibited high external quantum efficiency of 19% at 1000 cd/m 2 . This novel IH evaporator technology is expected to be a powerful method for OLED production.
