Design of Surface Plasmon Ring Resonator Based Label-free Biosensors

摘要
In this contribution, design of simple label-free biosensors based on surface plasmon ring resonators was discussed. Eight sensors with distinct geometry were proposed and the effect of resonator geometry on sensor performance was numerically investigated using FDTD scheme by MATLAB. The region of wavelength chosen for operation was the biological window (990nm-1100nm). The results provided insight to choose the proper geometry for designing the label-free biosensors within aforementioned wavelength spectrum.
