摘要
Aim: Case presentation of 3D application significantly changing the management strategy of a young patient, with a rare but clinically significant form of diaphyseal aclasis-induced femoroacetabular impingement. Method: A 3D printed model of patient-specific anatomy, allowing dynamic evaluation of the hip joint with simulated movements of the hip. Conclusion: We demonstrate that the application of 3D printing to such unique and challenging cases is invaluable, offering simulated assessment through supplementary tactile information on the underlying pathophysiological process, to avoid unnecessary invasive surgery, and ultimately promoting personalized patient management.
