摘要
Objective. To evaluate the effect of respiratory muscle training with threshold® associated with the vibrational therapy of the whole body of the respiratory muscles in patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD). Method. It is clinical, prospective, quasi-experimental, with sample of seven patients with clinical diagnosis of PD, both sexes and without other associated neurological disease. The evaluation of respiratory muscle strength was performed by manometer before and after the intervention in 24 sessions, recruitment of respiratory muscles was assessed by electromyography. For the respiratory muscle endurance training a 40% load greater measure of MIP and MEP in threshold®, three times a week was used. The vibrating platform was implemented a protocol weekly progression frequency, series, uptime and visual stimulation. Results. The mean age of participants was 63.28±10.8 years. Compared before and after the intervention was observed difference in the MIP (-50.5±16.2 to -70.8±28.5; p=0.05) and MEP (74.2±13.7 to 103.4±20.0; p=0.01) in patients evaluated, electromyographic changes were observed. Conclusions. We observed improved respiratory performance after respiratory muscle training add vibration platform in individuals assessed with a clinical diagnosis of P
