The ambition of the European Respiratory Journal: chapter 3

As the title suggests, this is the third New Year “ambition” editorial of the current 5-year European Respiratory Journal (ERJ) editorial cycle. As we approach the half-way point, it is time not only to look back at 2014, but also to take stock of what has been achieved in the past 2 years and to set the agenda for what is still to be done. We will review the objectives we set in the previous editorials [1, 2] and look at some of the exceptional articles published in 2014. The ERS's flagship journal is making great headway
