Long-term clinical course and prognosis of hot water epilepsy: 15-Year follow-up

•Hot water epilepsy is not a self-curing disease, although most cases have a good prognosis.•Preventive measures are very effective in preventing hot water seizures.•In patients whose seizures cannot be controlled with preventive measures, the effect of antiepileptic drugs in controlling seizures is limited.
