Des leaders d'équipes virtuels pour encourager le développement du système de mémoire transactive - Virtual Leaders Supporting the Development of Transactive Memory Systems.

Teams working together at solving a problem can benefit from a technological support for developing a shared mental representation of their own knowledge. In this paper, we investigate, through an online perceptive study, how people perceive the interventions of an Embodied Conversational Agent (ECA) designed to help a team to develop its Transactive Memory System (TMS), that is a mental representation of the distribution of knowledge between the team members. The ECA acted two different leadership styles: the Transformational and the Transactional style, respectively. Results show in some cases that both leadership styles were perceived to increase the TMS of the team, without significant differences between the two. This work will be extended, in the future, by evaluating other types of interventions (e.g. human- and message-based), and it is a first step towards our research goal of developing an effective team-assisting agent.
