Comparison of the unruptured intracranial aneurysm treatment score recommendations with clinical treatment results – A series of 322 aneurysms

•This is the first study to compare UIATS and patient outcome.•GOS-E deterioration can occur without treatment or rupture of UIA.•Clinical decision making is consistent with UIATS.•Inconclusive UIATS is associated with a higher complication rate in occlusion.•UIATS was otherwise not associated with patient outcome.
