A case report of recurrent acute myocardial infarction and cardiac arrest due to aortic dissection secondary to IgG4-related aortitis

•Aortic dissection need to be considered as a cause of acute coronary syndrome before rushing into invasive treatments.•Screening for other diseases that may affect body vasculature should be assessed; IgG4-RD can cause aortitis and aortic dissection.•Histopathology findings are never diagnostic alone for IgG4-RD and must be interpreted in the context of clinical, serologic and radiologic data.
