Compensatory sweating after thoracoscopic sympathectomy for primary focal hyperhidrosis in children: Are there patient‐related risk factors?

•Compensatory sweating is a common side effect of thoracoscopic sympathectomy and improves with time.•Age, gender and body mass index do not influence the development of compensatory sweating in children.•Severe axillary sweating appears to be associated with dorsolumbar compensatory sweating development in children.
