Research on Blockchain-Based Inter-Domain Routing Authentication Technology.

Inter-domain routing system is the cornerstone of the modern Internet, which is based on an unconditional trust mechanism. To avoid being affected by routing attacks, interdomain routing systems need to deploy additional security mechanisms to authenticate the allocation and management of Internet resources. The traditional security schemes have the defects of serious centralization and low deployability, but the blockchain technology with the characteristics of auditable, decentralized, consistent, and tamper-proof brings dawn to solve the problem of inter-domain routing security. Therefore, we first introduce the current situation of inter-domain routing systems and the shortcomings of certificate-based security mechanisms. Then we introduce the key technologies of blockchain and its application in the field of inter-domain routing authentication. At the same time, from the point of view of performance, deployment, and security, we analyze the problems existing in the blockchain scheme and give our ideas on how to solve the problem in the discussion.
