Study on Core Network Security Enhancement Strategies in 5G Private Networks.

In the era of 4G and before, telecommunications mainly focused on the connections between human users. However, the 5G technology does more than that, especially in the industry, such as manufacturing, power grid and more. The communication requirements of these industrial areas are harsh. The public 5G network operated by the telecom carriers cannot be used directly for doing business in these areas. Consequently, industrial users tend to negotiate deeper cooperation with telecom carriers by building telecommunication networks together, which is so called private networks, to meet harsh requirements in speed, latency, security, etc. This article analyzes the general methods of building private networks and focuses on the security enhancement strategies in 5G core network depending on different network architectures when building the private networks.
