Microsurgical treatment of lower extremity lymphedema: A multidisciplinary approach to improve morbidity in advanced penile cancer patients

•Lymphedema causes significant morbidity for penile cancer patients who undergo lymphadenectomy.•Lymphovenous bypass is a specialized microsurgery which may be performed to treat lymphedema, or be performed prophylactically at the time of lymphadenectomy.•All three patients had improvement in their lymphedema with two of three achieving excellent distal control of lymphedema.•This outpatient procedure appears to be a feasible tool in the multidisciplinary care of this significant morbidity suffered by advanced penile cancer patients.
