摘要
Refrigerators are an essential element of modern life, but they are also a health threat. Due to the huge variety of food in refrigerators and different food spoilage cycles, users tend to miss the safe consumption period. In this paper, we present the design of a food storage auxiliary monitoring device, which is divided into two main parts, the master unit and the slave unit. The main unit with display is installed at the periphery of the refrigerator and embedded with a database of typical food spoilage cycles based on temperature, humidity and seasonal factors. The slave, on the other hand, is a simplified version of the main unit, with no display mounted on the main aisle. Users can use voice recognition to enter or delete categories of food when storing food. When a person passes by the host or extension, the device is triggered and will perform different frequency of voice alerts according to the life span of the food. User can also customize the food spoilage cycle at the smart terminal according to the actual situation. The hardware, software and communication design scheme of the device is proposed in the paper, and the accuracy of speech recognition is tested to be as high as 97%, which verifies its reliability and feasibility. Meanwhile, the device can be used as a voice note or voice reminder.
