摘要

•Succinic acid modified cyclodextrin (SACD) was used as a curcumin delivery vehicle.•Curcumin-SACD complex (Cur-SACD) formed spontaneously with a molar ratio of 1:1.•Hydrogen bonds formed between the aromatic ring of curcumin and the cavity of SACD.•Cur-SACD displayed excellent stability to environmental and physiological stimuli.
