Dementia in Animal Model and Pathology

Vascular dementia (VaD) is a chronic, progressive brain disease caused by chronic blood supply to the brain because of a variety of cerebrovascular diseases; it is a type of senile dementia. In recent years, the incidence of the disease is on the rise, but the pathogenesis of the disease is still unclear, and there are no specific drugs to treat it. Establishing an animal model that can simulate VaDbetter is of great significance for the pathogenesis and pathological study of the disease. In addition, this article also introduces several pathological mechanisms related to VaD, in order to provide research ideas of potential drugs for the disease.
