In this research, we examine the period-doubling bifurcations exhibited by the dynamical system of a ball bouncing on a vertically oscillating table. We construct a numerical simulation in MATLAB and an apparatus to experimentally corroborate simulated behaviour. We observed period-doubling bifurcation from 1st order periodic motion, n=1 up to n=16, and verified n=1 and n=2 cases experimentally, with a new kind of apparatus. We also find cases of stable period-3 motion which bifurcate into period-6, and subsequently period-12.
