Infrared stealth and microwave absorption properties of reduced graphene oxide functionalized with Fe3O4

•Three-dimensional porous-network composites reduced graphene oxide and Fe3O4 nanoparticles were synthesized.•The rGO/Fe3O4 composite with concentrations of 1–3 mg/cm3, the thermal extinction reached 30–43 °C in static testing.•The rGO/Fe3O4 composite exhibited a maximum absorption value of −31.3 dB at 15.3 GHz at a thickness of 2.0 mm.
