Two-sided looped functional based sampled data control for semi-Markovian jump systems with complex transition rates

This paper is concerned with the sampled-data control for continuous-time semi-Markovian jump systems (SMJSs) via an improved two-sided looped functional. First, we construct a looped functional involving the fragmented-delay state information and sampling intervals from x(tk) to x(t) and x(t) to x(tk+1). Furthermore, since the difficulty in acquiring the accurate transition rates in practical applications, the SMJS is considered with generally uncertain transition rates. By adopting an appropriate looped functional, the sampled-data controller is designed to stabilize the SMJS even with incomplete transition rate information. In the end, the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed method are demonstrated by two illustrative examples.
