摘要
Herein, electrospinning and paper folding (i.e., origami) techniques are integrated to fabricate a novel ultralight metamaterial for sound absorption based on Miura-ori tessellation structure, which exists at an extremely low mass density of only 10.64 mg cm(-3). Sound absorption tests using an impedance tube demonstrate a significant improvement of sound absorption coefficient and the shift of first resonance absorption frequency to the lower band compared with the plane membrane. Further, the effect on sound absorption performance from three important parameters gamma, theta, and a that dominate the shape of Miura-ori are investigated and understood through the membrane vibration mechanism and Johnson-Alard hard frame model. Meanwhile, to achieve good sound absorption in a broad frequency range, a stacked structure with the double-cavity-double-sandwich model is created, which presents a superior broadband sound absorption and ideal sound absorption in a specific frequency range.
