摘要

•Crystal phase control of manganese sulfides in hydrothermal synthesis.•By adjusting the sulfur amount, MnS2, MnS and MnS2/MnS were obtained.•MnS2 phase was preferentially formed at sulfur-poor condition.•MnS phase was preferentially formed at sulfur-rich condition.•MnS was more active than MnS2 in term of photocatalytic H2 generation.
