摘要

•Pyridinyl coumarincarboxymides derivatives have been designed and synthesized.•These pyridine-coumarin conjugates displayed high fluorescence quantum yields (ΦF = 0.77–0.82) blue fluorescence.•The solvent effect and fluorescence properties were verified and explained by DFT and TD-DFT calculations.
