摘要
•Objective shelf-life data for whole ready–to–eat strawberries was generated.•Packaging conditions were evaluated at laboratory and pilot scale at 5 and 10 °C.•PET, PP and PE allowed shelf lives of up to 9 d at 5 °C.•For the strawberry cultivar assayed active MAP did not offer shelf-life extension.•Shelf-life information generated is objective, based on consumer perception.
