Band gap manipulation on P-wave propagating in functionally graded phononic crystal by periodical thermal field

摘要
•A homogenous thermal sensitive structure can be transferred into functionally graded phononic crystal by a series of metallic films periodically embedded and acting as heat sources, band structure of phononic crystal can be tuned by altering the heat flux of metallic films.•The tuning effect of period thermal field on band structures of both normal incident and oblique incident longitudinal wave (P-wave) is explored based on transfer matrix method.•The effect of incident angle on band structure and the attenuation behavior of P-wave propagating through finite functionally graded periods are discussed and explained.
