LaMnO3 nanocomposite double network hydrogel electrodes with enhanced electrochemical and mechanical performance for flexible supercapacitors

•A new strategy for fabricating flexible electrodes was developed by integrating the LMO nanoparticles and PAM/PVA hydrogel.•This hydrogel electrode exhibits a remarkable enhanced tensile strength of 1.81 MPa and a super extensibility.•This electrode shows a high gravimetric specific capacitance of 392 F g−1(at 1 A g−1) and robust cycling stability.
